Ben’s News Returns

Posted on

Hello! Welcome back to the long-waited return of Ben’s News. Now let’s not waste any time and jump straight in-

  • Of course, we have two major news items in America, the bombings in Boston and the Texas factory explosion. There’s already lots of news on these so I won’t spend too much time on these as you could read them in the newspapers.
  • Now, to some stuff you might not have heard of. The rare pine martens are returning to Scotland. The animal is already appearing in some of the Scottish counties.
  • Next article: Doctor Who fans might want to pay attention. The finale name, “The Name of the Doctor”, has been revealed. The Head Writer has revealed that the Doctor’s greatest secret will be known. Good stuff.
  • The Globe in London have said that they are creating a new company for 12-16 year olds.  The company will open in April 2014.
  • A powerful earthquake has hit the Sichuan province in China, where over 1,000 people have died. Many homes and power lines have been destroyed and rescue teams are searching for survivors.

They really won’t reveal his name, seriously. They won’t.

Good stuff – I had not read about any of this, apart from the Texas fertiliser factory explosion. I hope the new Globe acting initiative comes off – I would have loved such an opportunity when I was that age. Also, I had not realised that pine martens had completely disappeared from Scotland. Where are they returning from?

  2. Is it dreadful that the one item that caught my eye was about the Doctor?

Wish they’d build a Globe here in Manchester.
